Hi All,

I am trying to get Mame working under Knoppmyth and I am having the following problem.
1) I select a game, I get the standard "do you own this rom" screen.
2) I type OK to go to the next screen (by the way, can I avoid this sceen?)
3) I now see the game info screen that says "press any key to play"
4) I press a key (space for example).
5) The screen goes black and appears to be changing resolution (there is a audible click).
6) I go right back to the game selection screen. The game never starts.

For additional information, I have not yet updated the catver.ini file (I will do that tonight).

Also, I am using version 4.4.1 of Knoppmyth. Most everything else seems to be working properly.

Here was my thinking. I just installed knoppmyth 4.4.1 and copied some roms to the /myth/mame/roms directory and tried to play them. It does not work so I figured there is something wrong with the way I installed / configured that part of knoppmyth.

I would be glad to post the question somewhere else if you will let me know the right location.

Installation if for problems related to installing KnoppMyth. Operations of included programs isn't related to installation and doesn't belong here. I tested and tested and tested all included programs. Issues related to their use don't belong in KnoppMyth _> Installation. That is why there is Linux -> General, Linux -> Installation, Linux -> MythTV, KnoppMyth -> General or KnoppMyth -> Usage. I don't care if one thinks in belongs in here... Simply put: Once installation is complete, you've rebooted and completed configuration. Whatever issues you have no longer belong in KnoppMyth -> Installation(period).

OK, fair enough.

Now that I know the rules, I will try to abide by them. I will repost the question under KnoppMyth->Usage (unless you think that Linux->MythTV is a better location).
