I'm using a PVR250 (model 32059) with a Temic PAL/SECAM multi (4046 FM5) - Tuner Type=22 according to tveeprom . It really looks like I have a driver problem as I don't get any audio at liveTV .. not even static (but I get video which likes to jump up and down). Still, I can't figure out how to even get video on xawtv..
Audio works perfectly on everything else (except DVD, which doesn't work at all right now).

I have recompiled ivtv and inserted the .o audio file many times, also after updating to version 0.1.9 .

Should I try the 1.10.x unstables?

I'm really stuck here..
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Okay, after searching for [seemingly] ever, I finally found a solution.
Apparently, the msp chip has trouble detecting the audio type, so, considering I live in Australia, I needed to specify the audio 'standrard'.

Here's the mailing list link:

http://mythtv.org/pipermail/mythtv-users/2004-March/036148.html

If you follow the replies you see that audio works in Australia with standard set to 0x03 (Germany) because there is no specific Australia setting.

However I get glitchy audio - every minute or so it messes up a bit (sounds like it is going very fast for about a second as if it's catching up), but at the moment i'm just glad I finally have sound.

xawtv will not work with a hardware MPEG card. You may also want to check the ivtv mailing list.

Okay. Check the mailing list for what, though? The audio problem?
