I'm trying to get MythTV (knoppmyth R4V4.1) working on my PVR-350, and the installation has been going fairly well. I finnally have it all up and running with my monitor, but I would like to get it working on my TV.

I have been following all of the HOW TO guides, but when I get to the point where you get the frame buffer from the "/var/logs/messages" file, there is no line that contains "fbX: iTVC15 TV out frame buffer device".

I can't find any posts that resolve this problem, and I would love some help.

ALSO (quick side question)

if "lspci" tells me that my PVR-350 is located at "01:0a.0" then when I change my "XF86Config-4" file do I put the BusID as "0:0x0a:0" or "1:0x0a:0"?

Thanks for any assistance.

Thanks, but no thanks.

It turns out all of the problems I was having have been documented and have solutions. Anyway, if anyone is having the same problem here how to fix it (in a nutshell).

1. Install KnoppMyth
2. Change playback setting to use PVR350 decoder
3. Recompile mps3400.o
4. Add the three lines to modules/ivtv
5. Chmod 666 fb1*
6. Copy over XF86Config-4.pvr350-tvout.sample
7. Edit XF86Config-4 and place in corrent framebuffer and ide bus
8. Change mouse device in XF86Config-4 from "Mouse0"
9. Reboot

I'll post a more detailed HOW TO when I get my box working 100%. I'm getting a "ivtv: 100 ms time out waiting for firmware" error when I try to watch tv. It only happens about half the time, the other half of the time it works great. So if you know of a solution to this problem please let me know,
