I'm running LinHES, MythTV 0.23 version, and I wanted to try out the Mythbuntu theme. So I downloaded the theme from

and copied it into the /usr/share/mythtv/themes directory.

The theme seems to be working, except that the selected menu item is invisible (or all black). In the screenshot below, for example, "Watch Videos" is selected, but you can't see the text at all:



I searched this forum, and it seems as though some other users are running the Mythbuntu theme without any problems. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks.

I HAD this problem at one point. I think I found the solution on an ubuntu forum. I'll see if I can find it again.

I think the problem is that you aren't running a 0.23 compatible version of the theme.

maybe try this download instead?

http://packages.ubuntu.com/natty/mythtv-theme-mythbuntu

I had actually never extracted a .deb package before, but this little how to helped, in case anyone else out there is not sure how to install this theme:
