I had been running a R7 standalone system for a while, and a R5 before it. I have always used an ATI Remote wonder remote without any problems. Last week my R7 system decided to stop working (wouldn't boot, froze at random times). I didn't have too much on it, so I decided to just do a fresh install to 7.2 on new hardware. I got the install done in enough time to get my wife's recordings for this week (stayed out of the doghouse).

My only major problem left is the remote buttons are not the same as before. I don't mind relearning, but I can't find pause, select, skip commercial, and a couple other key functions. I can still access the old drives, so I thought maybe it was just the lirc config files. I copied them over (they looked identical), but it is still acting the same. I can use my android phone and mythmote to do all the functions I want, but my phone isn't as easy as a remote.

Would there happen to be a config file that maps buttons to mythtv functions that I could just pull off of the old drive?

The config file you are looking for is 'lircrc'

on your R.5 system it can be found in /home/mythtv/ or /home/mythtv/.mythtv/

It might also be a good idea to try your remote commands using irw to make sure the button names are what you expect in your config file.

I had previously copied both the lircrc and lircd.conf from that folder (/usr/MythVantage/templates/remotes/ATI_Remote_Wonder) from the old R7 system to the new R7.2 system with no change in functionality.
