Can't install at all!

If I just press return at splash screen, I just a Tux, nothing else.

Trying knoppmyth vga=ask, and then mode 0, I get:

Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel.

And then nothing more.

Pretty standard box with PVR250 and such, here.

are you installing on a tv?

if so you may want to try the tv boot option as stated in the install instructions.

Well, yes and no. But mostly no.

I'm installing it on my plasma TV, but it is no way different from a monitor here. It has no problems with 800x600 or 1024x768, and is connected with a DVI cable from my video card.

I had no problems at all installing Fedora Core 2, using this monitor.

Any other ideas?

what mobo do you have?

You may also want to try pulling out the PVR cad and seeing it gets further...

I have got the same problem, I just only see a Tux. With knoppix do I have the same problem, but X will load after a long time with a blank screen.
I think it's something with the bios but I don't know what.
