I'd like to sometimes be able to use my monitor simultaneously with my TV. I have a Geforce 3 for TV-out. Can this be done? How? I read in the nvidia doc for their Linux driver that my card I have can do this but I cannot figure out how. I tried searching the forums and wiki and did not find a solution. It seems that Option "ConnectedMonitor" "TV" in XF86Config-4 only forces the TV as the only output device. Actually, when I include that line, my CRT seems to "wake up" when I go to a text console (e.g., ctrl-alt-F1) but it doesn't display any text (then it goes back to "sleep" mode when I switch back to the GUI (ctrl-alt-F7)). I want to do this because I cannot read any text on my TV, it's too small and fuzzy.

Thanks for any assistance!

EDIT:
Never mind... I just found some refs in the forum...

It can be done sort of. search the forums for twinview there are some threads about setting it up. The problem is that you cannot have xv on both screens.
