Hi,
I have been trying to get my TechniSat SkyStar 1 CI card to work for days now and staying up all night and fall asleep infront of the pc and still "computer say's no"
It just keeps saying (Can't open card)
I have tryed to update the Kernel which I don't think I did right? So I need some one just to go throught the install steps that might be needed to setup this card.

I'm just lost could some one please help get me into focuse or i'll so nut's and do some thing drastic like installing windows

256 SDram
800mhz cpu
VIA chipset (mini ITX, not sure will cheak I it is needed?)
200gb hdd ide
all *brand new

Go to setup , delete your card but not the videosource.
Restart, go to setup and choose the card again.
Now link your videosource to the card.
Now make a channelscan.
This woked with my Technisat Airstar2.
But i posted it before, for my card i needed to update to kernel 2.6.10.

The answer to your problem I don't know, but I do have a tip. Next time when starting a topic it may help if the subject describes what the problem is and not how you feel.

I just can't get it to work and I try to update the kernel but now it just keeps rebooting.

If you do get really frustrated... Instead of throwing it out the window, I'm sure you could easily find someone here to mail it to instead.
