I tried to install R5A12 but was not able to finish, because i was not able to enter a passwort (no cursor in the textbox to enter any text), when the script wants to add a new user.
Any idea, why this happens?
My HW is a Biostar M7NCG 400 µATX using the on board GPU, Sempron 2200 and 512MB DDR

It is working as designed: the password prompts don't show what you type, nor do they show "x"s or "*"s for each character. However, they are taking input. Type blindly, and hit enter to submit the password.

Yep, you're right. Even the stansars console login does this...
Maybe i've got to much Windows stuff around here...
