Hey. I am new to knoppmyth and have some questions about upgrading to a16 from a15. If I read correctly, I need to run "Backup Knoppmyth" from the Knoppmyth menu on the backend. Done. When I run the install "Auto Upgrade" will this wipe out my installation? The reason I ask is that I had to compile the IR Blaster stuff (Actisys IR200L) channel changer and wanted to know before I possibly wiped it out. Also is there a default location where the backup info is stored so I know where to tell the upgrade script to look or will it pull that automagically?

yes.. run backup from the knoppmyth menu.

The auto-upgrade option will take care of restoring that information.

As to your issue with the IR Blaster stuff... yes it will wipe this out. You will need to redo this step after the upgrade. (I stress that you manually backup any config files for reference if you don't remember everything you did to get t working)

/myth/backup is where it stores the backed up data.
