I have messed up my myth box to the point where no one can help me repair it any more. It is time for a wipe and reinstall. Luckly I have prepared for this by mounting hdb1 as /myth . This makes it easy to nuke everything and still keep all of my recorded programming.
When I do a wipe and reload, restoring the database does not restore all of the programs that I have.
I have used the myth_rebuilddatabase script. I have hundreds of programs and I hope to avoid using it again.

My question.
How can I back up all of my current programming info eg: All recorded programs, upcoming programs, ALL of my wanted program info.

How do I restore this info?

if you are using knoppmyth you go to the knoppmyth menu and run the backup option. this will store a db backup among other things in /myth/backup to restore it you go to the same place and select restore.
