My myth box did it's annual crash-n-burn last week. For some reason, the database seems to get corrupted occasionally and loses all my recordings.
The recording files are still on the HD, but the DB is hosed. I seem to remember using a script in the past that would look in the tv directory and rebuild the recorded programs tables to list those orphaned recordings.
However, I don't remember where to find it, and searching hasn't really helped.

My current plan is to back up my TV directory, reload with the latest knoppmyth and then copy the recordings back, hoping I can find a script that will at least dump them all back in the interface as recording1, recording2, etc.

Maybe there's a better way though.
Any ideas?

/usr/local/bin/myth.rebuilddatabase.pl

Be warned that it doesn't do a very good job with PVR recordings.

If you run mythbackup, it will check and attempt to fix the db before backing it up. If you fsck /dev/hda4, you can just auto-upgrade.
