i have a system with Knoppmyth and the pc HDTV HD-3000 card, im having trouble getting my tv listings and getting a picture. I have an antenna connected to the tuner. Not sure what else to do, i read through some how to's with no good results, i can get it to scan the interent to get the listing just fine but cant get anything else to work.

Can you describe what you've tried so far? Did your channel scan see any channels in your area? Is your zap2it account set up with HDTV channels? Did you run DVB_fixer.sh after a channel scan? There are a number of reasons why it might fail.

Check antennaweb.org to see if you can receive any over the air ATSC signals.

I'm glad Andrew pointed that out, since certain hardware seems to work poorly with the hd-3000 (or vice versa, depending on how you look at it), but please be sure you've ruled out any human error in the normal installation and configuration process before attempting the steps listed in that HOWTO. That HOWTO has worked for lots of people who got no results with the normal process, so if you've ruled out human error, give it a shot and let everyone know if it worked for you. If that HOWTO was what made it all work for you, answer Andrew's poll at http://mysettopbox.tv/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=5874 and share your 'lspci -v' output so we can keep track of the hd-3000 installation process on various hardware. Enough 'lspci' results may reveal a pattern.

Normally, the default configuration in mythtv setup works, assuming a properly-configured zap2it account, successful channel scan, and running of DVB_fixer.sh.
