I've had a few times in MythTV where I lost the last 10-15 seconds of a show. I run ntpdate via cron nightly, so my time is pretty solid. Sometimes the tv channels that I record seem to be a few seconds fast or slow.

Is there a way in MythTV to add some time padding to the start and end of a recording session without having to manually edit the schedule after selecting it from the guide? Say 10-15 seconds?

I don't really know my way around yet, but it seems to me that this thread talks about what you want.

If you haven't browsed through all the options screens under utlities/setup -> settings -> TV settings now would be a good time to start. You'll find a couple options there to do exactly what you want. You'll also find a lot of other options which are good to know about.
