Hi all,

Finally got Terminal Server & my 2nd tuner working, thanks to the guys for the excellent work on R5V26. :D

Heres my latest problem:
Frontend currently has a working install on hard disk and network booting just gives me the boot screen for the Knoppmyth CD (as expected). Is there an easy way to take the install off the frontend's hard disk and make a cloop from it? Would sure help make life easy for me, any ideas?

Thanks

Jim.

If you run prep-ts, this is essentially what it does... It copies the cloop from the CD onto /myth/terminal_server. You can then chroot into this and configured it how you wish. You can even have it boot X automaticially instead of our little menu of options...

Yep, got as far as the prep-ts, but as you say it just copies the CD to the terminal server directory. It's modifying the cloop image I don't get. All I can find is stuff about extracting the image (where you need 1GB of memory!!!) modding it and re-compressing it. Is this as difficult as It sounds as I have limited Linux knowledge. To recap all I wanted to do was take my existing FE disk and make a cloop from it, not possible I guess.
