Hi,
at first happy new year!

Got some problems with KnoppMyth R5A26 and channel tuning with my Terratec Cinergy 1400.

Configuration:

2. Capture cards
I selectted Card type: Digital Video Broadcast card (DVB)
and MythTV completet automaticly:
DVB Card Number: 0
Card Name: TerraTec Cinergy 1400 DVB-T
Card Type: DVB-T
DISEqC Input Type: (DVB-S): Single LNB / Input
Default input: DVBInput

So I think my card is compatible.

3. Video source setup

Video source name: antenne
XMLTV listings grabber: Germany (tvtoday)

Channel frequency table: europe-west

Finshed the configuration and completed the XMLTV grabber Config in the terminal window.

After it they came a info box "You must run 'mythfilldatabase --manual' the first time, instead of just 'mythfilldatabase'. [...]

So i logged in a terminal as mythtv user and tryed 'mythfilldatabase --manual' but i get only a error message:
Can't call method "look_down" on an undefined value at /usr/bin/tv_grab_de_tvtoday line 462
Error in 4:196: unexpected end of file
[...]
Failed to fetch some program info

Okay i thought no problem try finding some channels.

4. Input connections

I choose Video Source "antenne" fpr my Capture device and finished.

5. Channel Editor

I pressed Scan for channels, Next, Next and he begun the scan progess, but nothing happens Scan Activity stays at 0 % Signal Strength 0% and Singnal/Noise at 50%.
After 1 minute it aborts and a info box "Error Tuning to transport" comes up.

I tryed the same with R5A16, but the Kernel in this version is too old for my dvb-t card.

Any ideas?

Infos:
Country: Germany
State: NRW
Capute Card: Terratec Cinergy 1400 DVB-T
KnoppMyth: R5A26 with Auto-Install

Hi freach, I ran into a similar problem with 5A26 (got the Terratec Cinergy T2 myself). The problem is apparently that 5A26 uses an outdated version of XMLTV for retrieval of EPG data. Try updating XMLTV (download source, compile it and make install). Then that part runs fine. :D

If you need more info, msg me on ICQ
