Ok well iv just added a 250gb sata HDD to my setup, and i was trying to copy the files in the "myth" folder to new drive, and i somehow managed to delete it. Now my mythbackend wont run, and as a result, mythtv isnt working properly.

Is there any way i can recover this, or just replace the files? I checked if the files where still hidden on the original drive but their not, which would make sense since i deleted that partition.

- Boot from the CD and escpe to a shell prompt.

- Mount the HD partition where you want to set up /myth.

- Copy the version of /myth from the CD to the HD partition (use the "tar trick")

There are detailed instructions for how to get stuff off of the CD available in the forums (search for "boot CD mount") and on the wiki. For the tar trick see either of these threads:
