Hello,

I just installed the new RA30 and for a while it worked perfectly. But now I cannot get "Watch TV" to work. I either get a black screen, or more recently a blackish static. I have read the mythbackend.log and the boot up and the only error I can find out of the ordinary is this one:

ivtv0 warning: i2c client addr: 0x40 not found for command 0x40287611!

Googling around has only lead me to a post related to sound.

I am wondering what this error means and if it may be causing my problem.

The only other thing I can think of is that my card has just died. I got it for x-mas so I don't think that is the case but if the above error yields nothing then it must be the card. Could anyone tell me how to test the card (hard ware tesing programs?)

I have also tried getting input on xawtv but all it yields a a blue screen.

Thanks in advance.

This thread can be closed. It seems that my Tuner 0 input is busted. My video card has S-Video out and the 350 has S-Video in. I just hooked them up and bam, I can see stuff just fine. I guess it's a call to where I bought it from, or and RF converter...:( I just had everything working too!

The reason you haven't gotten any responses is most likely that you're not giving us enough information to help you. Start with the TroubleShooting page on the wiki, particularly the CheckingLogFiles page. Once you can show us the IVTV section from the dmesg log we may have something to go on.
