In my TV listings, the description for Sunday's early playoff game is "AFC Championship: Teams TBA". When I go to Zap2it's website, the game is listed as "AFC Championship: Pittsburgh Steelers at Denver Broncos". The listing on MythTV doesn't know that the description of that game was updated after it was initially downloaded before last weekend.

Is there a way to run the update (mythtfilldatabase, I think) so that it always gets current information?

Thanks

Do
Code:
/usr/bin/mythfilldatabase --help
to see the options. It normally refreshes tomorrows listings every time you run it to catch these updates, but you can also have it update todays or the day after tomorrows listings.

BTW - When running it manually, avoid running it as root, there can be some odd side effects.

I ran:
Code:
mythfilldatabase --refresh-all

and it updated the descriptions to the current content.

Thanks for your help.

Ah, so you're running R5A22 or some SVN version. Since you didn't say I had to guess. Also, please don't abuse that option since it increases the amount of data you DL by about a factor of 7 and puts extra load on zap2it servers. The way mythfilldatabase normally works is to only get any marked changes, refresh the data for tomorrow, and anything beyond the furthest date you've already got. This helps to keep the load on their servers acceptable.
