Dale and I are starting to work on R5. If you have a feature request, now is the time to submit it! Please use the following format:

I'd like to see the following feature/program added to R5.
I think the addition of feature/program would be beneficial because:
Feature/program X can be found at(please provide a link):
Program X has the following dependencies and can be found(please provide a link):

Any request not in the above format will be piped to /dev/null.

Cecil

I'd like to see drivers for tha ati rf remote included in R5 of knoppmyth.
I think the inclusion of those drivers would be beneficial because the ati remote is probably one of the nicest remotes I've come in contact with and a fair amount of mythtv users own one.
The drivers can be found at http://gatos.sourceforge.net/ati_remote.php
and a handy little patch that changes the keymappings to something more useful to mythtv can be found at:http://homepage.mac.com/johnsflowers/FreeplayTV/Documentation.html
right near the bottom.
As far as I'm aware of there are no dependencies for this module, or than the input.o, mousedev.o, keybdev.o, and hid.o kernel modules, which are fairly standard and are already included in knoppmyth (I think).

Thanks,

Chris

PVR 350 output with Xdisplay preconfigured out of the box

I myself speak for alot of us who have the hardest time setting up a pvr 350 with output because the sheer complexity of getting it just right. I know certain versions like the october 31 version of the alpha work well, but I just don't have the skillz to get it working on knoppmyth.
Great job BTW on R4

Does the ivtv support the radio tuner?

+1 for the PVR-350 output. I'm willing to put up some money to get you guys a card. Anyone else interested?

The other thing that I would like to see fixed is the issue with the PVR-x50s being muted by default.

I'll second the default lirc config for mplayer. I posted a sample config in one of the treads. Of course you will probably want a more complete setup and may not like the buttons I used, but It should be and easy include as you just have to make some modifications to /home/mythtv/.lircrc

It is done. All the requested information was provided which made it easy. After compiling the kernel, compiling the module for the remote was easy. This remote doesn't use LIRC, the kernel module "allows the ATI remote as a regular input device".

Thanks for the sample! I have not tried them myself... if someone can pick this up and run with it, I'll be happy to include it in the next release.

cesman check out this post.

I have included my .lircrc modifications in the post and have a reference to a fairly complete comand list for mplayer lirc support.
