I am thinking of moving from an fc install to knoppmyth and have a couple of questions.

1. Does knoppmyth install with an SMP-Kernel?
2. Does it autodetect PChdtv3000?
3. Does it support LVM JFs or xfs out of the box?

I am asking to get a handle on how much config I will have to do after install. In order to guess down time for reinstall

Yes.
While it doesn't create LVM at install time, you should have no issues getting LVM working. There is even a simple script to create LVM after installing. Check the wiki for details.
