I am running R5A30.1 SB 16 card 2 x PVR 250's 7nif2 board not using onboard audio due to volume control (or lack there of) issue.

I have been having a strange intermittant problem since going from R5A16

(R5A26) audio does not always start after a channel change ussually starts after 5 seconds or if i pause then play, not a big deal.

(R5A30.1) Audio problem still there but I have noticed a new issue.......drum roll please!

When I play back recordings I will get very hollow sounding audio or I will get the audio track playing twice with about a 3 second offset.

I can play the same recording at another time and audio is normal.

Clue.....I noticed that restarting front end did not make a difference, rebooting machine no difference but and I'm not 100% sure yet. It seems to happen when the backend is recording a show.

Any Ideas? Not a big deal but one of those things that make you go Hmmmm.

Craig

Try the extra audio buffering, especially if you notice the audio problems on dark scenes. Nighttime shots, soaps, etc..
I had another problem with the local PBS station, and read other reports of the same (google for +mythtv +pbs +audio) and it was fixed by using the "transport stream" for recording the HD stream on my PCHD3000. With this problem, evrything sounds like there's a hellicopter overhead. chop chop chop.....

Ok I turned off extra audio buffering and turned on aggressive audio buffering. This is an intermittant problem so I will have to wait and see, it seems fine right now though.
