Had two ideas for MythTV that I've not seen anyplace, and I wanted to see if people thought they had value:
1) Plug-in to filter profanity out. I figured with the combination of closed-captioning and sub-titles (maybe even speech-to-text), this could work. Make movies kid-safe.


2) Music video recorder. You list what songs & artists you want, and MTV, VH1, and CMT videos automatically start recording. They always put the songs info in the corner, so some quick OCR should give you what you want. If it is not on your list, MythTV would delete.


In a related question, is there somewhere things like this are tracked? Does MythTV lend itself well to "plug-ins"?
