Release notes on MythTv 0.19 say it has an internal basic DVD and video player. How to use it instead of mplayer or xine ? for MythDVD and MythVideo

Start by doing a simple search which would give you the answer. This is not a good place to do that yet as not many people on here are using .19 yet. Simply use "Internal" with no quotes instead of mplayer for dvd and video.

I attempted on my FC3 system for DVD and MythVideo. Failed horribly on both. The playing itself 'seems' to work, but how it is detecting movie length, and the skip forward/back amounts just screw it up.

Examples:
Hitting forward in a DVD would put it back to the start.
One vob showed as 3 seconds long.
Another as 5 minutes.

Once this is working, which I really cannot wait since the UI WILL be much better in the long run, they will need a Play From... option. The internal player bookmarks and makes it a little difficult to get the movie from the start. No big deal if you can map '0' or something to the beginning of the file.

There is some tracking bug in the mythtv trac system regarding this. Very unclear what the goals of having working for 0.19 were.
