I have an issue that has cropped up. I have been away for about two weeks and the wife has been running the PVR.

Occasionally she would call me to tell me it had reverted to the "Penguin sitting n the Couch" most times it was operator error, but on one occasion she was locked out and did a panic button restart. That was about the time the following problem surfaced.

I have one show the the wife has recorded and is trying to Transcode.
It keeps trying to Transcode that show.

I have restarted the box a couple of times after doing some "fixes" like celaring shows etc. even went in and did a repair of the MySQL tables, it did show some problems and fixed those but this problem still exists.

I have searched through the forum and looked at various Transcoding issues but all of those seem to relate to Profiles and settings. I don't believe that is the issue as she was able to transcode multiple files without a problem. It has been just this show that is giving her problems.

Searching /var/log/mythtv I found the Mythbackend logs.
Here is an excerpt from Yesterdays log.

Eventually it completed this one (I believe):

Then I see it ran Zap2It

Then it ran some recordings and started transcoding again.

It completed...

I would do an Upgrade /Fresh Install if I thought I had time to work out all of the issues before I leave again. I need to get back on the road on Thursday Morning and will be away for another two weeks. I hesitate to do anything major like an upgrade as outside of this issue the box has been working great for her. and I will be away for about 3 weeks, I don't have that many video tapes any more and waht a pain that would be trying to keep track of them.

Any Thoughts?

There are certain corrupted recording where transcode just goes off to outer space and doesn't come back. The only solution I've found or heard is to either delete them or mark them as "don't transcode" in the DB.

Ok, So being a little green in this area. How would one go about finding them and marking them as do not Transcode in the DB?
