Hi,

Today I upgraded to R5B7. Everything works except wathing LiveTV ;)

When I start the frontend in an extra shell and want to watch TV, it just flickers shortly (1ms) and nothing happened.
In the shell it says:

[...]
GetEntryAt(-1) failed.
EntryToProgram(0@Do Jan 1 01:00:00 1970) failed to get pginfo
[...]

The EPG information for today are available, but not for 1970

The date is set correctly:
root@mythtv:~# date
Fri Mar 24 20:47:38 CET 2006

Or do I have to set another date seperately?!

Cheers,

Marcel

I am getting the same error. This post may help:

I am going to try my TV card in a different slot and see what happens. I am using a PCI expansion card which may be causing the errors. Perhaps try this as well?

I tried moving my Lifeview Flyvideo 98 (bt878) PCI card to another PCI slot but I am still getting the GetEntryAt(-1) error when trying to watch Live TV.

My Hardware

Compaq Small Form Factor
PIII 1.7
512Mb Ram

N.B. I have a PCI expansion card (plug two PCI cards into one PCI slot). Could this be creating the error? I have tried plugging the TV Card directly into the motherboard but then the PC won't boot.

I don't remember getting this error when I tried R5A16. I'm using R5B7 now.

lspci and dmesg both report the card as being detected successfully.

Help!

I just had this problem upon rebooting my box, and I just did something to clear it up. I'm not sure what, but I'll let you know shortly.

Using a PVR-150 and an onboard intel card.

Mhh, actually I can't move it to another pci slot because I'm using a shuttle XPC and it only has one PCI slot.

Ravenium: any news?

I'm just triggert by the error message of manoova as I've got the same message using SVN versions of Mythtv, using DVB cards. Turned out that the update of the database version was wrong. So for x50 users this info is possibly useless...

Do I have to compile MythTV manually? I only updated knoppmyth and haven't compiled it from source yet.

The documentation at SVN suggests that you might try to re-add your DVB card and click on the DiSEqC button.
Ref:

Compiling is an option, but SVN might be unstable. Channel scan is not working properly atm. I would do a mysqldump of mythconverg before installing and using a SVN version.

I'm not sure whether subversion is installed on R5B7.
I think there is a wiki how to (re-)compile MythTV on KnoppMyth.

I forgot to tell you that I'm using a PVR350 as standalone version.

Does it help there too?

You could try the following steps:

1) schedule a manual recording for lets say 2 minutes, starting within the next few minutes
2) in the backend logs you should find something like 'tuning to channel....", 'change from none to recording'
3) after this recording (recording is finished) try to watch LiveTV

Does your box come up with livetv?

I just deleted the VideoSource "tvtoday" and created a new one, rescanned the channels and set the xmltv ids manually.

Thanks for your help anyway :)
