Can someone please point me in the right direction to get my second head of my Matrox G400 working? Do I need to recompile the kernel in order to get support for it?

I don't think you need to recompile the kernel, but I do think you have to go download the driver from matrox and copy their hal over to use dual head. At least that's the way it used to be the last time I looked at matrox stuff.

besides you can also download the matrox desktop panel or whatever it's called and it should make seting up the dual head simple.
