I know there are a bunch of entries on this, but I haven't found my problem or solution yet, so here is another entry. I followed all the instructions on http://ivtv.writeme.ch/tiki-index.php?page=TvOutHowto and got live tv to work and everything was good, great, grande. However, when I set up the XF86Config-4 with the XF86Config-4.pvr... and changed the /dev/fbX and the busID all I get is a black screen with a blinking black cursor on the TV. I have gotten it to give my the Splash Screens with all the menus, but when I go to watch TV it goes BOOM. This is the error I get on my VGA monitor :

Redundant entry in serial pci_table. Please send the output of lspci -vv, this message (134d,7891,134d, 0001)[/code]

Thanks,
--Ryan

Did you configure MythTV to use the 350's TV out?

I have MythTv set to use the PVR-350 tv-out. If I use the XF86Config-4 default (VGA montior) I get the Splash Screens and menus on my monitor and then when I go to watch TV or a recording it plays on my TV. Can't complain too much about that, but I would like the Splash Screens on the TV Screen.

So when I use the XF86Config-4.pvr... I get the Splash Screen to show up on the TV (a little too big for the screen). But when I go to watch live TV or a recording it goes black and the computer usually locks up. I haven't seen anything in the logs to tell me why it is doing this either.

Not sure what else needs to be configured now.

I'm not sure what you mean by "loaded"? I modified my /etc/mythtv/modules/ivtv to:

Code:
alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c
options ivtv debug=1
options tuner type=2
options saa7127 enable_output=1 output_select=0
options msp3400 once=1 simple=1
add below ivtv msp3400 saa7115 saa7127 tuner
add above ivtv lirc_dev lirc_i2c ivtv-fb

I tried following: http://ivtv.writeme.ch/tiki-index.php?page=TvOutHowto but when I had everything in my /etc/modules.conf I got the
Code:
Redundant entry in serial pci_table. Please send the output of lspci -vv, this message (134d,7891,134d, 0001)

Is there a different way I need to load the ivtv-fb driver?

do a lsmod | grep ivtv-fb
see if anything shows up.

I'll do that when I get home. Stuck at work without an ssh connection. :(

Thanks,

also you may want to run lspci and modify the XF86Config-4 file appropriately. It is commented where you modify it.
