Just on the wiki and have seen 2 how to destroyed. And filled with some crap.

not sure who is responsible but I thought I would let people know so something could be done to protect the wiki.

The 350 page has been like that. I think it got fixed last wk, but apparently someone keeps screwing with it.

Yeah I fixed the 350 page a day or so ago (didn't keep a copy of the wiki markup doh). You can (if you follow the link to recent changes) call up the previous (unhacked) version for reference. In theory there is a button to restore a previous version but this doesn't work as expected right now. I've pm'd Xsecrets who I think is still the wiki guardian.

Personally I'd favour adding a mediation step just to catch spammers. I don't think there's so much traffic that it would be a lot to do, and I'm not talking about checking technical accuracy, just de-spamming. I also favour a login tied to the forum but that didn't fly last time it was raised.

I have corrected the 350 page and removed all the crap. As for the Radio times page I just removed it completely, because there was no data for that page in the database at all. the 1st version was completely empty.

Yeah we've been pretty lucky on the wiki so far. the checkbox stopped the spam for quite a while. I still plan on changing to a new wiki engine and implementing an authentication system, but I just haven't had the time to work on it recently.

You have to tick an 'I am not a spammer' checkbox before you can save any wiki revisions. I see the 350 page has been spammed again already.

Huh, maybe I missed that an' that's why I couldn't fix it.-shrug-

Spammers are stupid. Not sure why they believe screwin' with the wiki is gonna help them.
