This is my problem. I am using a xbox360 with a media center extender and I would like to be able to link the myth pretty directory to the MCE box and stream these to the xbox.

I searched and searched but I would rather ask this question first.

I would like to convert to something a windows box can read natively. Could someone please point me in the right direction.
By the way

I am running R5D1 with .20 installed a remote backend and frontend

I tired the auto transcode with some custom scripts but these don't seem to work correctly so they transcode them with the commercials as well. I would like to strip the commercials as well when transcoding.

Thanks
Lee

Does the 360 support XviD or DixX mpeg4? If so

http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php? ... iDEncoding

Could be adapted to other formats such as plain mpeg4 or DivX easily.

The format that the shows are recorded in is dependent on your tuner. What tuner do you have? As you are asking about a format that would play your 360, this isn't KnoppMyth related. Take it off topic.

So, your recordings are in MPEG2. Using the lossless transcoding should work well. There is a post on the forum on how to edit your recordings. Basically, well watching the record press your "menu" button and "edit recording". Mark what you want and transcode the recording. When you run a user job to transcode to AVI, your commercials are now gone.

You may have problems though with R5D1 with lossless transcoding though. The lossless issues are fixed in R5E50. In a quick search the 360 should support MPEG2 which is what PVR-250 writes to. So maybe just a matter of getting the 360 to see the KM shares or a 3rd party upnp server on KM. I would start with can the 360 even play the media, put some small recording on USB or DVD that 360 can read. Then tackle the networking issue.
