I'm trying to add a HAUPPAUGE Nova-T DVB-T card in my existing box.
The box consists of a P4 2.8 on a QDI P4I865GMA-6AL + 512MB. I've been using this setup with a PVR-350 and an Nvidia GF4-MX440 for three years now and overall it has been working fine.
About a month ago I bought a Sharp Aquos 42" FullHD LCD. Really nice, I'm very happy with it. To be able to feed it with DVI-HDMI I added a ASUS N6200/TD with 256MB. That worked amazingly fine and I'm now running at 1920x1080 60Hz.
I also added a Hauppauge Nova-T DVB-T card. The problem is that this prevents X from starting, all I get is a blank (black) screen. Replacing the N6200 with the MX440 gives me my picture back via VGA. I've tried both R5E50 and R5D with the same results. I have also searched the forum and have found people with similar problems but no resolution. I've also tried removing my PVR-350 and moving Nova-T to another slot, without success. With my R5E50 installation I have upgraded the Nvidia drivers according to this post.

Reading the following lines from my R5D installation makes me feel that I got som sort of hardware conflict. (/var/log/XFree86.0.log)
