I've been running KM for some time without a problem. The server is headless.

Lately, the server has been hanging. I attached a monitor and noted that fsck failed and would have to be run manually, which I did.

After rebooting, which error logs can I look at to try to figure out what's going wrong?

TIA.

The box is just hanging. No error messages on the console.

Details? Version of KnoppMyth? Description of the hardware? Have you seen the following troubleshooting page on the wiki? http://www.knoppmythwiki.org/index.php?page=CheckingLogFiles Have you used the install CD as a rescue disk and checked to make sure that you're not out of disk space?

I wish that I could give more details about the problem other than the box just hangs.

I checked all of the logs in /var/log and didn't see anything. I'm not out of space. The /myth partition is 99% but that's pretty much normal I think.

The box is a dell desktop - is there a good way to dump the hardware specs to a file?

600mhz P3.
512mb.
20gb drive with R5D1 installed from the CD.
250GB drive for /myth.
PVR-500.

I opened the box, blew out a small amount of dust, and reseated all of the connectors and memory.

Since last night, the box is still running. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

i'm having a very similar problem and cant find anything wrong in the logs. my /myth partition is also overfull... may be a problem with expiration of old recordings? i think it shouldnt get more than 95% full or so.

Ive had it lock up while recording (so i can see when the recording started and how long it recorded for) and ive looked through the logs for what happened at that time... nothing interesting.

im running r5e50 (or whatever the latest is) with a 64bit amd 3000 (running the 32bit ver of myth) 256megs of ram, and a few drives set up in raid 5

The box is still running.

I changed the TV config to keep 8GB extra disk space free just in case too little free disk space was causing the problem for some reason.
