Hi,

Have not seen anyone else mentioning this however, I have not been able to get the "home brewed" dvd or a dvd iso to play. Was hard to catch however it throws up an error message about keybindings being the same for all keys... So what I see is the intro plays and then waits for a keypress that you can't give it.

Easiest cure is probably to knock out the /home/mythtv/.xine configuration and then run xine from a command line where you've got a keyboard and a mouse. This should let you set up the configuration. The file you want to tweak after that is "/home/mythtv/.xine/keymap".

My xine complains momentarily about some overlapping keybindings when you exit, but other than that it works just fine.

Thanks tjc,

But it didn't work :( If I bring up the control panel it shows the intro music looping but won't play. Seems to be on any box I upgraded.

Internal player don't play dvds either.

Looks like I am going have dig a little deeper.. Did notice gbs.tv does not play either but only tested on one upgraded box, not sure if related.

Thanks again
Mike

BTW - I suspect Cecil won't think this belongs under installation... ;-)

Hi,

You are most likely correct as it is "post installation" but did seem appropriate at the time. Humble appologies

Pick another spot and I'll post my xine configs to see if they do you any good.
