Anyone use a shuttle for both front and backend? The motherboard and proc in the older system I am using now has gone down so instead of replacing them I am thinking of getting a whole new box. I have perfect spot in tv stand where a shuttle would look perfect. Then I could get rid of the big desktop machine sitting next to the stand. The key is that I have two hard drives in my box. One 320gig for TV recordings and then another 320gig that holds my backed up DVD collection.

My original KnoppMyth box was a Shuttle SN41G2. The main issues were the expansion limits (only 1 PCI card, adding a 2nd internal hard drive required some cleverness, ...) and sub-par TV output quality from the built in graphics. Other than that it worked just fine, eSATA drives and external tuners (like the HDHomeRun) can now address the expansion issues, and the graphics issue was probably peculiar to that motherboard.

After searching for "shuttle" in the Tier 1 forum, I'd have to
say the answer is "yes".
