My box (a backend for an XBOX frontend) had been working fine for a couple months, and suddenly the sound went wacky. Live TV sound is very quiet, and there is an annoying hum present. What's strange is that recorded program sound is still OK (programs recorded after the sound problem started). I can't figure out why one would be OK and the other not. I've tried upgrading the ALSA package, and checked my TV card/sound card cable (TV card doesn't support btaudio). Any ideas?
