I have a Skystar2 and am trying to setup two satelites through a diseqc swiitch.
I have tried two different switches, a four port and a two port switch.
No matter what I try I can not get the switch to "switch".
I have defined a two port diseqc switch on the capture card setup screen, with a lnb attached to each connection on the diseqc, I have defined two seperate sources under video sources.
I have defined two connections under input connections.
No matter what whenever I pick the second connection and try to do a scan it always picks up channels from the first satelite.
Can anyone help?

Anyone?
Is nobody answering because it just worked for them?
I don't think I have done anything strange and I have actually tried on two difference machines and cards as well.

Well I got it working sort of.
I had to choose tone instead of diseqc, even though the diseqc is clearly labeled:
Point red
DiSeqc switch
Frequency Range 950-210MHz
Insertion Los: 3dB
Power: 12-20v DC/
Control Signal: Position + Option
Address: 15Hex
It will at least scan properly now but it doesn't switch reliably yet.
Still trying to pin that down.

I have been fighting with disecq switches also. What I have tried and has worked is adding the 22khz switch on the port 2 and turning it off on port 1. What it means is on the first LNB add 12750 to the LoF and on port 2 (lnb 2) add 11700. There is also a print on how to add a 600 ohm resistor to a disecq to enable the switch to work with dvb cards. Some people need it others don't. Just search the mytheatre forums that is where I seen it and search for 22Khz switch you should find it easily. Good luck.

Sorry canuk1974 I lost you.
What did you mean by
"on the first LNB add 12750 to the LoF and on port 2 (lnb 2) add 11700"
Did you mean go into the LNB setup and just add those two numbers respectively?
Were you then able to still select Diseqc ?
Because I still can't switch reliably.

Oh and thank you thank you thank you for responding. I thought I was all alone in here.

Okay first things first what sat's are you trying to get first and then maybe we can get to the bottom of this. It could be a patch that you need to apply. I also noticed that you said you tried a 2 port switch is that a tone switch? Let me know I will keep this thread up here.

This is all the information I have:
Code:
Point red
DiSeqc switch
Frequency Range 950-210MHz
Insertion Los: 3dB
Power: 12-20v DC/
Control Signal: Position + Option
Address: 15Hex

So I don't think it is a tone switch, I am assuming when it says DiSeqc it means DiSeqc but...
And it doesn't matter which 2 NA birds I choose , I can't flip between them reliably.
